There are currently over 180 programs accessible from radiOM.org. We are continuously in the process of digitizing and preserving material and will continue to expand the site, drawing from the various collections in our archive which include Other Minds, the KPFA-FM radio music department, and the private collection of the composer George Antheil.
Other Minds Collection
Thirteen years of music programming, artist panels and composer symposia produced by Other Minds has been documented in audio and visual formats. Many audio recordings from recent festival performances and panel discussions can be found on this site and soon we hope to have every OM Festival available for listening.
Compiled from 1949 to 1995, this collection of analog reel-to-reel audiotapes embodies decades of some of the boldest and most innovative new music radio programming ever to be recorded. The content reflects the ever-expanding range of musical styles employed after 1960, covering artists whose backgrounds range from the classical conservatories to the counter-cultural underground movement of the 1960s - artists such as Aaron Copland, Elliott Carter, Pauline Oliveros, Steve Reich, and Frank Zappa.
