A concert and interview with whistler extraordinaire Jason Serinus (a.k.a. Jay Nassberg). Dubbed the “Pavarotti of Pucker” by the San Francisco Chronicle, Serinus, accompanied by the piano, performs a number of pieces from the classical repertoire. For people who thought that whistling was just a form of amateurish folk music, a la the Andy Griffith Show, these remarkable renditions of classical masterpieces and opera arias will be a true revelation. Serinus may also be known to people as the voice of Woodstock in many of the Peanuts animated cartoons. |
