An interview with German composer Karlheinz Stockhausen conducted by members of the Society for the Performance of Contemporary Music. The interview took place in January 1967 at Stockhausen’s apartment in Sausalito, California as a prelude to a performance by the Society at the San Francisco Museum of Art to be held on February 24, 1967. The performance included the San Francisco premiere of Stockhausen’s masterpiece in electronic music, “Kontakte”.
