From a program first broadcast on Nov. 17, 1980, a piano recital by Robin Rubenstein. The program begins with a brief introductory conversation between Rubenstein and host Charles Amirkhanian, after which is heard a number of live performances on the piano by Robin Rubenstein, interspersed with a recording of a performance by the Robin Rubenstein/Victoria Hartung piano duo, recorded Sept. 1979 at the Purcell Room of the Royal Festival Hall in London. Selections vary from works by Johannes Brahms, Claude Debussy, Percy Grainger, to Karol Szymanowski, among others.
