Charles Amirkhanian interviews composer, pianist, and music professor, Wayne Peterson, whose background spans the jazz and European classical worlds. Peterson taught composition and piano at the San Francisco State University, and was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1992 for his composition “The Face of the Night, the Heart of the Dark”. In this program, recorded on June 21, 1978, Peterson presents three of his more traditional chamber works.
