Lewis Warsh reads his own poetry in this program, recorded on March 3, 1970. Warsh is known as one of the New York poets who became prominent in the last years of the 1960s. His work has been published in numerous books and anthologies. In addition Lewis Warsh and Anne Waldman (to whom he was then married), edited an important magazine of poetry called “Angel Hair”, published from 1966 through 1970. In this program Warsh reads a selection of poems that he wrote during his stay in Bolinas, California (1969-1970), as well as some that he had written in New York City during the late 1960s.
