In an interview recorded on April 29, 1972, Charles Amirkhanian talks with Werner Goldschmidt, founder of the famous German record label for avant-garde music, Wergo, and later in the program, Cathy Berberian, whose recording "Magnificathy: The Many Voices of Cathy Berberian" had just been released. Shortly after this interview Goldschmidt tragically died unexpectedly while undergoing hospitalization for a routine procedure.
