Charles Amirkhanian interviews William Hibbard, Music Director of the Center of New Music at the University of Iowa, who was spending his summer in the Bay Area. A number of his pieces are played and the composer describes his affection for 12 tone music. Later in the program, Charles plays a number of works by composers also teaching at the University of Iowa.
