A recording of a live in-studio concert by KPFA’s Pacifica Chamber Players, recorded on February 27, 1971. The chamber ensemble, featuring Tom Rose and Larry Nobori on clarinets, Teressa Adams on the cello and tambourine, and Robert Hughes on bassoon, perform a selection of 20th century chamber music. The recording begins with “Three Dances,” by Robert Hughes, who explains that they were originally intended as incidental music for an 18th century play.
