A regular on the San Francisco jazz scene as well as something of an international star, Turk was the premiere performer of New Orleans style jazz in Northern California for nearly 40 years . Murphy was the co-owner of Earthquake McGoon’s as well as the leader of its regular house band, and is clearly relaxed in this live recording as he introduces the song’s and members of the band.
